Andrew Hennesy represents the IPERS Improvement Association, a private nonprofit group, on the BAC. Hennesy worked for the city of Des Moines for 41 years in the Engineering and Parks and Recreation Departments, before retiring in 2011. He is a past president of the IPERS Improvement Association, the Municipal Employee Association and Supervisory, Professional and Management Employee Board for the city of Des Moines.
