Did You Know With The CEO: The Role Of The Iowa Legislature
IPERS CEO Greg Samorajski shares answers to frequently asked questions on the Did You Know with the CEO page on IPERS’ website.
As we near the start of the new legislative session in January, it’s important to understand the role of IPERS’ “plan sponsors”: The legislature and the Governor. The plan sponsors create the laws and rules that govern IPERS. IPERS is the plan administrator and administers the plan according to those laws. Members who have thoughts about any aspects of IPERS’ administration are encouraged to contact their Senator or Representative.
