IPERS is taking its services on the road this December, with a special visit to Cedar Rapids. Eastern Iowa members can meet with benefit counselors for one-on-one sessions at the Cedar Rapids Library, attend an informational session to learn more about their IPERS benefits, or attend a town hall meeting with IPERS’ CEO, Greg Samorajski. If you have questions about this event, please email Education Program Manager, Graci Zeiger.
Counseling sessions
IPERS retirement benefit officers will be on-site to meet individually with members to answer questions about their personal retirement plans and assist them with their retirement application. Please note these meetings are limited, so we ask that only members within 3 years of planned retirement reserve these sessions. Visit the reservation page to sign up for an available counseling session.
Informational sessions
Staff will host general informational sessions for members looking to learn more about these benefits. There is no RSVP or registration needed to attend an informational session. Please note that due to the public nature of these meetings, IPERS staff cannot answer specific questions about a member's retirement account. Members within 3 years of retirement wanting personal information about the account are encouraged to sign up for an individual counseling session, or to schedule a session at an alternate time through IPERS My Account.
