IPERS sends members communication through My Account, your retirement toolkit. To get started, refer to the welcome letters IPERS sent you in the mail. The first letter includes a My Account username, while your password was sent in a second letter, for security purposes. Click My Account on the main menu on this page, and use your credentials to log in. Be sure to set up your account with your personal email, not your professional email, so that IPERS can contact you throughout your career. It's important to login to My Account regularly to check the contact information IPERS has on file for you. This allows IPERS to share important news with you about your membership, even if you switch jobs or leave public employment. In the unfortunate circumstance of your death before retirement, your beneficiary(ies) may receive death benefits. It is imperative that you designate a beneficiary(ies) now. The video below shows how to designate or update your beneficiary in My Account.
